Project Information Coming Soon
As part of the Noosa Council’s forward-thinking “Rufous Street Precinct” in the heart of Peregian Beach, the recently completed Digital Hub creates a new commercial hub, public open space and provides an opportunity to reposition the Peregian community heart to place it central to the precinct.
A Digital Hub is a shared workspace for a range of complimentary activities, including commercial businesses, public sector and community organisations. It offers high-speed and cutting edge technical facilities and services, as well as meeting rooms, event and training spaces, with a focus on bringing people together. Freelancers, entrepreneurs and small businesses can work from this flexible, shared workspace for a monthly fee, together with established high-growth businesses located in longer-term office spaces.
The architectural approach seeks to continue the spatial conditions and urbanity that is prevalent in Peregian Village. A network of lanes of connectivity open to small courtyards providing sub-tropical public amenity at the scale of the user. The internal and external will seek to become ambiguous as much as possible, landscape and plants penetrate the interior, external spaces give over to meeting rooms and outdoor workshops.
The Digital Hub has also been designed to complement and add to the community service provided by the existing Peregian Beach Community House (designed by Sparks Architects and winner of 2015 AIA State Award for Commercial Architecture)
